When a large fleet needed to reduce operating costs by 10%, the simplest answer became the best. The project also significantly improved Fabucon’s carbon footprint by reducing carbon emissions by 5.9 tonnes per year. “This is achieved through Cartrack’s fleet management technology, which combines driver training with the rollout of driver incentive programs.”

The end result of fleet management is something called driver scoring, which essentially measures driver performance based on parameters set by the fleet owner. Driver ratings can be used to incentivize good driving behavior, and when combined with fuel consumption, it can have a material impact on a business's profitability.
