maintainance
Make sure all services are up to date and your service manual is stamped and signed by your dealer. If you recently replaced your tires, shock absorbers, or battery, keep the receipt with your service manual.
Exterior
Repair minor dents and scratches. Spending a small amount of money at a sheet metal worker can increase the sale price of your vehicle by thousands of dollars. Polish your vehicle to remove minor scratches so the paint looks like new.
internal
Clean or wash seats and carpets as necessary. If you are a smoker, wipe down all surfaces and place fabric softener in the car to remove odors. If your steering wheel and gear lever are damaged, it's worth reupholstering them.
examine
Make sure all functions in the vehicle are working properly. Check your headlights, brake lights, and turn signals, as well as your vehicle's electronics, such as power windows and sunroof. Make sure no warning lights come on when you start the vehicle. Check basic fluid levels such as engine oil, windshield wiper fluid, and water.
Once your car is spotless inside and out, get your paperwork in order to make the selling process seamless.
